It’s been a joy to watch this family grow over the years. I first met them when their oldest son, Will, attended the same preschool as my kiddos, Magothy Cooperative. Will was their only child at the time, but it wasn’t long after he graduated that Nicole contacted me about newborn photos, as they had a second on the way!
I had the honor of capturing Nicholas’s newborn and cake smash photos over that coming year. Then I had the honor of capturing their first days as a family of 5. And now I’ve had the privilege of celebrating sweet Alex!
We always start Nicole and Ryan’s photo sessions with some family portraits and we love to take a moment to cuddle up on the couch in their playroom. It’s been so fun to document their growing family here.
As the third boy in this beautiful family, Alex has lots of love and attention. Big brothers, Will and Nick, adore him and are wonderful helpers.
It was a beautiful morning, so we stepped out into the backyard to take advantage of the mild fall weather. I love documenting being able to document them at home, with the backdrop being the space where they are raising these wonderful boys.
When we wandered back inside, we headed up to Alex’s room to snuggle in the rocking chair.
Finally, it was time to smash some cake!
This big boy is turning one, and he couldn’t be happier about it.
He also had no hesitation about digging right in!
It was so fun to watch him enjoy his cake (and especially enjoy the icing!).
