Josh knew when he proposed to Bri, that he needed it to be special, because that’s what Bri is to him, someone incredibly special.
Bri tragically lost her father when she was 15 years old. Her father had owned an aquarium business, with her uncle, so Josh contacted the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland to help make this day perfect for his bride to be. Proposing at the aquarium was Josh’s way of involving Bri’s father, a way of asking for his blessing. He bought every ticket for the Insider’s Tour, a tour that begins before the aquarium opens, for Saturday, December 1st, Bri’s birthday. He then invited his family and hers, and his sister, Jessica, arranged for a photographer.
Josh and Bri were joined at the National Aquarium on Saturday morning by Josh’s parents, sister and brother in law and nephew. Bri’s aunt and uncle came in from Long Island and surprised her for her birthday (at least that’s why she thought they were there!). Then, surrounded by their family (and marine life), Josh got down on one knee in front of the Blacktip Reef exhibit. And Bri said “Yes!” It was an exciting and emotional moment, a few tears were shed, and it was certainly the beginning of a day to remember.
Josh and Bri spent the rest of the morning with their arms around one another, enjoying each other and learning more about the wonders of the aquatic world. I was thrilled to be able to be able to witness and to document this unforgettable day for them. I’m truly impressed and touched by the thought that was put into this proposal and I want to thank them for inviting me to be a part of this sweet time in their lives.
Congratulations and Best Wishes to Josh and Bri!
