It’s been a minute . . . or a lot of minutes, maybe a few months even. 2020 has been a whirlwind, and COVID-19 delayed a few sessions and planned events for me. I’ve really missed being behind the camera to document other families. I don’t even know if I realized how much I missed it until I was documenting a sweet family again. (In case you missed it, Cole’s cake smash was my first session back!)
What have I been up to? Well I’ve been taking a in depth look at my business and what I love to shoot as a photographer and I’ve added documentary style sessions to what I offer. You now have the option to book an experience session with me, where we spend a lot more time together and I can document all the details, all the connections and the little sweet moments of your family life. I have also upgraded my albums (and will have samples soon for you to take a peek), and am thrilled to include them in some of my session packages.
I documented a Day in the Life for us last month, so you can take a peek into what life was like here during our time safe at home (hint: it wasn’t all that different from daily life before this!) and you can see what a Day in the Life session might look like for you. I am still working on editing and compiling those photos but will have that blog post up soon.
I’ve also added digital collages and products to what I offer as well as camera lessons. I was thrilled to be able to teach some mamas how to use their cameras on manual mode via Zoom over the past few months. Sharing knowledge and helping others is a passion of mine that I’m lucky to be able to bring to my business.
I am really looking forward to many more family sessions this year, to some newborn sessions, to some experience sessions. So far 2020 may have been a challenge, but it’s also teaching me so much. I’m learning to slow down, to know where I want to spend my time and what I value. The lessons this year is teaching me are much more than a silver lining, and I am so grateful to continue learning. From Annapolis to Baltimore, from southern Maryland and D.C. to Ocean City, I can’t wait to capture some sweet moments for your family this year.
