Sometimes we plan on getting around to something for a while, but life gets busy. With a 16 year old, a 14 year old, 11 year old and 5 year old, it isn’t getting any less busy, but Michael and Yanet decided that it was time to make that family photo session happen. So on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, I met their family at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, Maryland, and we went on to capture the family portraits that they’ve been planning to do for some time now.
It was a warm Saturday, and the sun was shining brightly, so we started by hanging out in the shade of a barn.
It was so fun spending time with Mikey, Desmond, Alana and Ariana. I get the feeling that having lots of siblings keeps their home fun and full of life! These kids have smiles that light up a room, and they are so vibrant and full of life, it was a pleasure to spend some time with them. And, of course, we spent some time focusing on their sweet, furry family member, Bailey.
Michael and Yanet were incredibly sweet themselves. And I loved getting just the two of them together in some portraits.
As the sun sank down, we wandered over to the farm field at Kinder Farm Park, and took a few more moments documenting this family, as they are in this moment in time.
We finished up our time together with some movement and laughter, leaning into the chaos of raising four kids.
And I loved watching, as I walked away, as Ariana took over leading a game of red light, green light. Keep them on their toes, sweet girl!
