Moments

Capture Sweet

Family Love | Annapolis, MD

When Adrienne found out that her sweet Berkley had cancer, she knew she did not want to put off family photos any longer. She had been thinking of having portraits done of her sweet boys, but Berkley, her furbaby, was her first baby and a family photo session needed to happen to document all the love that they all shared.

Adrienne was hoping for a beach setting, as she felt more at peace by the water. On a beautiful Sunday evening in March, we met up at Jonas and Anne Catharine Green Park. I could tell that Berkley just loved being around her family as we started with some relaxed portraits.

We made our way over to the rocks so the boys could run and play, and we captured some fantastic moments under the Naval Academy bridge.

Finally, we spent some time on the beach.

We had some emotional moments, making sure Berk knew she was so loved. We had some quiet moments, skipping stones over the peaceful, quiet waters. I could feel all of the love that Ryan, Adrienne, Wyatt and Greyson have for one another and for Berkley. And we wrapped up with simple walks along the beach, a quiet stroll just soaking up the time together.

Adrienne and Ryan, thank you for trusting me to document this time in your family’s life. Thank you for allowing me to witness and be a part of your sweet moments, with your boys and with Berkley. Even though she is no longer with you physically, I know she walks beside you in spirit and waits for you across the rainbow bridge.
