When Jennifer told me she wanted to do family photos on the beach during their stay in Bethany Beach, Delaware this June, I was ecstatic. She’s family, so I was already looking forward to spending some time at the beach with her and watching my boys play with their cousins, but being asked to capture her family photos on the beach was the icing on the cake. Beach photos at sunset, of this fun family of seven plus some grandparents, uncles and their cousins (my boys) thrown into a few was a fun adventure that we spread out over two evenings!
Father’s Day dinner was planned for 5:00 but the grill at the beach house did not cooperate! Photos got a late start because of this, but we managed to get the extended family photos done in front of a beautiful pink and blue sky. We didn’t want to rush things, so we finished up some family photos and some individuals of the kiddos the next evening. It all worked out and I was thrilled to spend some time with Mia, Jeremy Jr., Jordan, Jocelynn and baby James on the other side of my camera. Jocelynn showed me her dance moves, and I asked Mia to give me her best flirty looks (I can’t believe she’ll be a senior this year!). And the boys were wildly entertaining as them always are.
Of course we had to wrap up with photos of just Jennifer and Jeremy Sr. because that’s where it all began, the foundation of this family. Love is watching two people grow up together, grow into a family, in love from the time they were thirteen years old. Love is watching multiple sets of grandparents come together, vacation together, aunts and uncles joining in. Love is watching cousins from different sides of the family take care of each other, love one another. I love being a part of this family, and thank Jennifer and Jeremy for welcoming me in so readily and easily.
This is a sneak peek from their beach session, and of course I documented our days on the beach and hanging at the house, Day in the Life style, so stay tuned for more!
