Real Families • beautiful places • Timeless Memories
When Meg and I talked about locations for her family photos, we talked about places that she and Andrew enjoyed spending time, and Forward Brewing in Eastport, Annapolis, came up as one of their favorite date night places. Meg’s parents live in Eastport, on the waterfront, and we decided that their home would be the […]
Rajeev and Jacque raised their sweet family of three girls, Eshani, Anjulee and Devina, in New England. When all three daughters moved to Maryland, and Eshani started her own little family, Rajeev and Jacque decided it was time to relocate to be closer to their girls. I met this wonderful family at Rajeev and Jacque’s […]
Sometimes we plan on getting around to something for a while, but life gets busy. With a 16 year old, a 14 year old, 11 year old and 5 year old, it isn’t getting any less busy, but Michael and Yanet decided that it was time to make that family photo session happen. So on […]
I first met Kearney, Brent and Aiden at Kinder Farm Park last year, when they came for my Limited Edition Fall sessions. We had so much fun together that we decided to extend the fun this year with a full family session at their beautiful home on the water in Annapolis, Maryland. I came to […]
Jeff and Ashley are a fellow homeschool family who I first met when they popped in for homeschool school portraits just over a year ago. I feel blessed to have gotten known Ashley even more as our children played and learned together at a homeschool co-op this past year, and I was so happy for […]
One of the very best parts of what I do is watching the families and the children that I photograph grow and change. Lizz has been trusting me to capture her family photos for 7 years now. Which means I’ve been watching, and documenting, her sweet girls, Bella and Natalie, as they grew from toddlers into young women. And I’ve watched the love that Lizz and Richard share and shower on their girls help make them into the sweet and confident ladies that they are right now . . .
Maria, Mike, Michael and William have been coming to see me at the Christmas tree farm for the last few years, and it’s been so fun watching the boys grow. This year, they decided to try something different and they met me, with their sweet labradoodle, Teddy, for their family photo session on a windy but warm evening in early November, at a park in Annapolis, Maryland.
Lizz, Richard, Bella and Natalie have been coming to me for family photo sessions since the very beginning of my photography journey and I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to document their lives. The girls are so full of life and joy that happiness fills anyone in their presence. The adoration that they have for their mom and dad is reflected right back to them; you can see the love in the whole family’s eyes . . .

Throughout these years that the Aviles family has given me the honor of taking their photos, we’ve done family sessions at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, and multiple beach family photo sessions in Ocean City, Maryland. This year, they decided to capture their family moments at their family home in northern Virginia. If you’re familiar with my photography, or have spoken to me about photo sessions, you may know that your family home is my favorite place to capture family photos and this session did not disappoint . . .
