Real Families • beautiful places • Timeless Memories
Melissa and Joe welcomed their third baby boy on the evening of Saturday, November 11th. Wade is just so sweet, and it was apparent that they are overjoyed with their newest addition to the family. I was fortunate to meet Melissa when our boys were in a playgroup together, in the Severna Park Mom’s Club, a few years ago, and I am grateful that she chose me to document this milestone for their family.
Alexander Ryan was welcomed into the world on October 23rd by mom, dad and two adoring big brothers. I love watching families and children grow and I got to know this wonderful family as their oldest, Will, attended preschool with my boys. I was thrilled to photograph their second son, Nicholas’s, newborn and one year photos, and when Nicole told me that she was pregnant with her third boy, I was also honored to be asked to document baby Alex when he came into the world.
One of the very best parts of what I do is watching the families and the children that I photograph grow and change. Lizz has been trusting me to capture her family photos for 7 years now. Which means I’ve been watching, and documenting, her sweet girls, Bella and Natalie, as they grew from toddlers into young women. And I’ve watched the love that Lizz and Richard share and shower on their girls help make them into the sweet and confident ladies that they are right now . . .
Ashley and Daniel thought they knew what to expect when they scheduled a caesarian section for their second baby, but baby girl had other plans! Ashley, unexpectedly, went into labor just days before her c-section date and they welcomed baby Clare into the world on September 5th, 2023.
Hannah is turning one! When mama, Lauren, chose me to document Hannah’s Winne the Pooh themed cake smash, I could not wait to bring her vision of Hannah’s Hundred Acre Woods to life. Winnie the Pooh is a classic that I grew up with and have taken the time to introduce to my boys as they grow. Lauren and Adam have accumulated a collection of the original plush characters and everyone was in tow for a beautiful evening at Downs Park in Pasadena, Maryland . . .
Hillary and Matt are excitedly awaiting their first baby and they were eager to document this milestone in their lives. They were searching for classic, traditional maternity photos and they wanted a studio session, so we secured The Lightbox Studio in Annapolis, Maryland.
Meredith and Fabrice have been inviting me into their home in Washington, D.C. to capture their family photos for years, and it’s been an honor to watch as their family has grown and changed over those years. From the days of their first maternity session with their 3 rescue pups to their life as parents of two, every photo session has been about capturing life as it really is, in an environment that is comfortable for the whole family.
When your family only gets together twice a year, you must take the time to document it! I was overjoyed when Stephanie called me to book an extended family session while her parents and brother’s family would be in town. Being December, we did a lot of watching the forecast and discussing locations and I think all were happy that we settled on Downs Park in Pasadena, Maryland as the perfect backdrop for their family photos.
When Manuel and Yani reached out to me to document their family, as their littlest one, Leonardo, turned one, we planned for a family photo session at a park in Annapolis, Maryland. As the date of their family photo session approached, the weather took a sudden turn for extremely chilly! I am extremely grateful to have options like The Annapolis Studio nearby so that we could take our outdoor session indoors!
When your due date comes and goes without baby making his debut, you can feel so ready and yet so unprepared at the same time. That’s how Heather felt when I checked in with her a few days after baby James was due. But a day later, on November 3rd, James Alan arrived, and we captured some sweet newborn photos at their home in Pasadena, Maryland when James was just a week old . . .
